We are a small business based in North Devon, UK, specialising in personalised art prints and bespoke illustrations.
All of our illustrations are bespoke to you and drawn by hand by our in house artist. We work with some great illustrators to help produce the illustrations for our lovely personalised prints.
Our aim is to create bespoke, affordable pieces of custom artwork for yourself or as a unique gift for your a loved ones.
Meet Chris
Hi, it's great to meet you!
I’m Chris, and I started Lock and Dale in the summer of 2020 after being made redundant during the Covid-19 pandemic. I had always dreamed of owning my own business, and now with no job and plenty of time on my hands I decided there was no better time to start one.
I have drawn all my life and quickly found myself drawing anything and everything to gift to friends and family. There was, and still isn’t, a better feeling than gifting a piece of art I had drawn and poured my heart and time into, and it being received so well. To see the look of joy on a friends’ face or seeing my grandma cry (for the first and only time, and in a good way!) after I drew a portrait of her mum and dad, I knew my passion was not just in creating the artwork, but using my skill to bring joy to others.
I’m so proud of what I have accomplished so far, but I am even more excited with what the future holds. My vision is to stay small and continue to create wonderful illustrated gifts for you to give with love and confidence. I love what I do so much, and I hope you’ll let me help you give the most meaningful gifts to your loved ones.
Our Promise
Excellent quality is incredibly important to me, which is why all of our illustrations are printed with Epson lightfast inks, onto a high-quality matte paper, to ensure your print stands the test of time.
Always Hand-Drawn
Every illustration is carefully hand-drawn by our in-house artist using either traditional or digital methods. We never use AI or filters, just my our own authentic craftsmanship.
Free Proofing Service
Your happiness is our priority. That’s why I’ll always share your artwork for approval, making sure it’s exactly what you imagined before it leaves my studio.
